Wanda J. Zierdt

Wanda J. Zierdt, 66, of Kutztown, sadly has been called home, Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was the wife of the late Jay W.L. Zierdt. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Alverta E. (Meck) Schlenker. She is survived by sisters: Harlow J. wife of the late Dale D. Bailey of Macungie, Audrey wife of Richard Leibensperger of Shoemakersville; brothers: David C. Schlenker husband of Maryjane of Shoemakersville, LaVerne D. Schlenker husband of Veronica of Bernville, Terry L. Schlenker husband of Brenda of Shoemakersville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by brother Ronald Schlenker.

For 20+ years Wanda has worked at Daytimers in Macungie Township, Lehigh County. Recently, Wanda worked in dining services at Kutztown University. She also attended Zion’s church in Maxatawny, Pa.

Wanda was a beautiful daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting her, instantly knew she was very special, with her warmth and compassion for helping anyone that needed help, the love and caring she had for animals, and the traveling she had enjoyed so much, to see all of nature’s beauty.

You shall forever remain in our hearts, as thoughts of you and your beautiful smile will always be the happiness in our world and the light shining down upon us. The love we hold for you will remain strong in our hearts and you always will be sadly missed. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives.

Services are November 6, 2021 at 11am in Berks County Memorial Gardens 201 Evansville Rd. Fleetwood PA.
