Uldis Zemitis

Uldis (Zeke) Zemitis, 84, of Mertztown passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Pat) Zemitis whom he married on August 23, 1997. Born in Riga Latvia on March 13, 1940, the family came to America in 1950. Shortly after their arrival, Uldis’ Father died and the family moved to The Lutheran Home at Topton. Uldis was the son of the late Peteris and Elvine Zemitis.

Uldis graduated from Brandywine Heights High School. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mertztown. Uldis had his own Graphic Design business in his home for 40 years. He was also a security guard for East Penn - Deka for 17 years.

In addition to his wife, Uldis is survived by his son, Eric Zemitis; stepchildren: Dale Sicher of Lyons, Donald Sicher (Jane) of Topton, and Donna Lebo (Kurt) of Fleetwood. He has two grandchildren: Chase and Reese Zemitis; four stepgrandchildren: Jeremy Ream, Matthew Lebo, Gage and Griffin Sicher. There are 2 great-grandchildren: Sianna Ream and Torrin Ream. He has a brother, Andrew Zemitis from Willow Grove. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Malda Jurka; brother, Ivars Zemitis; and a son, Gary Zemitis.

A service to celebrate Uldis’ life and burial will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 2pm in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mertztown. Visitation with the family from 1pm to 2pm. Burial following in Christ Lutheran Church in (Dryville) Fleetwood, PA with the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Sassaman officiating.
