Rev. Andrew J. Stauffer

The Rev. Andrew J. Stauffer, 81, passed away April 22, 2021. He was the husband of the late Sharlene “Becky” A. (Moyer) Stauffer, having last celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Topton, the son of the late Charles B. and Verna A. (Boyer) Stauffer. He was a 1957 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, a 1961 graduate of Muhlenberg College and a 1965 graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. As a parish pastor he served the Mt. Bethel Lutheran Parish, Bangor; St. James Lutheran Church, Geigertown; St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tremont; Lobach’s-Shalter’s Lutheran Parish, Oley; and Christ Lutheran Church, Stone Church.  He was a member of Frieden’s Lutheran Church, Oley in his retirement but continued to supply when needed. He especially enjoyed supporting his daughters and grandchildren in their activities. He is survived by daughters: Jennifer A. wife of Raymond F. Weil, Jr. of Kutztown; Bethany J. wife of Michael W. Kline of Oley; grandchildren: Ryan M. Kline and wife Emily; Zachary A. R. Weil; Ashley N. Weil; Tyler N. Kline; Madison J. Kline; and sister Anna Mae (Cookie) wife of Emory Meck. He was predeceased by sister Lucille Olinger. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
