Lloyd H. Herbert

Reverend Lloyd H. Herbert, 94, of Kutztown, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. He was the husband of the late Pauline L. (Remp) Herbert. Born in Red Hill, he was the son of the late Warren J. and Eva M. (Harpel) Herbert. Lloyd graduated from Kutztown High School in 1947 and United Wesleyan College in 1981. He assisted Hildenbrand Funeral Home since 1987 officiating services and ministering to families without a church affiliation. Lloyd was the Co-Pastor for Friedens Church from 2006 to June 2021 when he retired. He was also the Chaplin at Kutztown Manor and faithfully visited shut-ins. He was also a member of the Kutztown Ministerial Association. Lloyd and his wife Pauline enjoyed ballroom dancing and were regulars at events throughout the area. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Dawn L. wife of Robin Shepard of Denver, Pa; grandson, Alan husband of Rachael Shepard; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, and Joanna. Services will be Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, 346 West Main Street, Kutztown. Visitation with the family 9am to 10am. Services 10am with Rev. Dennis Cooper officiating. Interment at Pennsburg UCC Cemetery.
