Howard Dean Obituary

Howard J. Dean, 54, of North Catasauqua, PA, formerly of Rome, New York, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at LVH-Muhlenberg due to complications from COVID. Born on September 27, 1966, in Riverhead, New York, the son of H. Roger Dean and Linda Dorety Petrie. He graduated from Rome Free Academy High School and Lincoln Technical Institute. He was an accomplished drummer and well known in the Lehigh Valley music world. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: Stepmother Nancy Dean, Stepfather Jon Petrie, life partner Robin A. Toole, son Gabriel Wildman-Dean, daughter Julia Wildman-Dean, and stepbrother Roger A. Dean. A Celebration of Life is planned for the spring. Interment will be in Westernville, New York. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Abramson Cancer Center, (giving.apps.upenn.edu) in his memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc., Kutztown, PA.
