Shirley L Kercher

Shirley L. Kercher, 94, of Kutztown, PA, passed away on July 2, 2026.

Born on August 18, 1931, in Kutztown, Berks County, PA, Shirley was the daughter of the late Raymond Kercher and Marguerite (Glasser) Kercher.

Shirley graduated from Kutztown State Teachers College in 1953. She went on to work for the Lower Merion School District for 35 years, retiring in 1988. She was a devoted member of Kutztown Bethel Church of the Nazarene.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and traveling, and cherished time spent with friends and family. She had a special love for animals of all kinds, especially her beloved pets.

Shirley is survived by her cousins, Chad Quinton and Tyler Quinton.

Burial will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 8, at Hope Cemetery, 225 Church Ln, Kutztown, PA 19530. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Kutztown Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 125 Koffee Ln, Kutztown, PA 19530.
