Barbara A. Gomez

Barbara A. Gomez, 59, of Lenhartsville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was the wife of Jorge Gomez. Born in Yonkers New York she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Regina (Gadonnex) Peters. She attended Kutztown Area High School. Barbara loved looking after her grandchildren, watching them grow and telling her three sons how proud she was of them. She enjoyed listening to music and collecting precious moments figurines. Barbara relished time spent shooting pool with her sons on an 8-Ball team. In 2019 they won the Blue Mountain APA 8-Ball league competition qualifying them for a free trip to Las Vegas. These are the memories her family will cherish forever.

In addition to her husband Jorge, she is survived by sons: Jason M. Zavala of Marietta, Anthony T. Castaneda and Danielle of Orwigsburg, Angel N. Castaneda of Mohrsville: bonus children: Jorge Gomez Jr., Miguel Gomez, Danielle Whitecavage, Yajana Prez; grandchildren: Regina M. Andre-Zavala, Cora R. Castaneda, Lana L. Castaneda, Brittany Gomez, Jorge Gomez III; siblings: Catherine R. wife of Ronald L. Bortz, Bruce P. Peters Jr., Susan R. Peters wife of Travis R. Moss, Joseph H. Peters husband of Sandra A.; nieces and nephews, Alyssa M. Bortz, Joseph H Peters Jr., Ashleigh R. Moss, and Elizabeth Peters. She was predeceased by nephews Ronald L. Bortz Jr. and Travis L. Moss.

Services are Friday, June 19, 2026 at Edward J Hildenbrand Funeral Home. Visitation with the family 10am to 11am. Service at 11am. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
