Ravene R (Ritz) Gehringer

     Ravene R. (Ritz) Gehringer, age 85 of Kutztown, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in the comfort of the hospice team and nursing staff at the Kutztown Manor. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert L Gehringer, her daughters, Donna Ziegler, wife of Robert Ziegler, Debra Ziegler, wife of Donald Ziegler and two grandchildren Andrew Ziegler, Erica wife of Nathan Parker and great-granddaughter, Gabriella Parker.

     Born in Allentown, Ravene was the daughter of the late Raymond R. Ritz and Bertha M. Kocher. She graduated from William Allen High School in 1951 and was employed as a secretary at Merritt Lumber Co. in Allentown. She later became the bookkeeper for her husband’s contracting business.

     Ravene was the past president of Kutztown Jaycee Wives, a member of East Penn Chapter OES #336 of Kutztown and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she was active in the Women’s Club and Needlework Guild.

     Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:30 am Trinity Lutheran Church Kutztown. Visitation with the family from 9:30 am till the time of service. Interment at Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the memorial fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 W. Main St., Kutztown, PA 19530 Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc. Kutztown in charge of arrangements.
