My condolences for the loss of your father . He was a unique man . I remember he had model trains in the basement of your home. Even though he was a grown man, it showed that he was still a kid at heart. I'll always think of him every time I go past the skating rink at Kutztown Park.

Mac was one of the most gracious gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We met at GriefShare when both of us were suffering a devastating loss. I know he will be greatly missed by those who had the opportunity to meet him.

Mac was one of the first people I met when I moved to Kutztown in 1985 since he was working at the hardware store. I remember thinking what a nice helpful guy. I had no idea that in the future we would be on council together and work on many projects. In my last term he was Vice President of council when I was President. I tried to get him to be President but he really didn't want the office even when he eventually served. That was the kind of person Mac was. He didn't need the office, he just wanted to make things better for Kutztown. So many of the buildings the Borough has are because of Mac. Mac often was more knowledgeable than the engineers but he was never pushy or pompous. He was greatly honored to that the water plant named after him.

As much as Mac loved Kutztown, he loved his family more. He loved to tell stories about the kids and grandkids, especially if it had to do with trains. He just loved showing kids his trains. He had me over with my grandson to show off his trains. He was a generous and kind man.

We are all lucky to have had Mac in our lives. He will be greatly missed. I am honored to have had him as a friend.
