Melvin C. Adam

Melvin C. Adam, 79, of Kutztown, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2024. He was the husband of Marilyn M. (Baver) Adam. They were married nine and a half years. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline (Krick) Adam. Melvin was a 1964 graduate of Kutztown High School and a member of Friedens Church, Lenhartsville.

From his love of farming, old cars, and a great hoe-down, Mel will always be remembered for how much he loved life!  No one was ever a stranger to Mel, and he was truly loved by everyone who met him.  Family was his greatest treasure, and he adored his traveling adventures with his partner in crime and love of his life.  

In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by his children: Lonnie Adam, Todd Adam and his wife Teresa, Stacey Adam, Tara McCarthy and husband Kelly, Lainie Renne and husband Jason, as well as step-children, Jessica Reitnauer and David Green.  Among his blessings are also nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Mel is also survived by siblings Douglas and wife Pat, Michael, Mark and wife Brenda, Doloris Horwith and Cheryl Bailey.  He was predeceased by siblings Geraldine, David, and Dennis.

Services will be Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM in Friedens Church 1512 Old U.S. 22 Lenhartsville, PA. Visitation with the family will be 9AM to 11AM in the church. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Frieden’s Cemetery Corporation. Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc. in charge of arrangements.
